M96 - a spiral galaxy

These images are badly compromised by strong background light (streetlights) on campus.

Images taken: Nov. 7 2004, by John Rippy, Scotty Jimenez, Angela Gardner and Marty Covington.

Telescope: Meade 12 in with f/4.66 focal reducer (f=56in), guided with an AO-7 adaptive optics accessory.

Camera: SBIG ST-7 CCD

Seeing: 4.5 as.

Exposures: 27 min red, 25 min green, 54 min blue, and 52 min clear.

Size of the image: 8 am x 12 am.
