NGC6946: a face-on galaxy in Cygnus

This faint, 10-mg galaxy is similar to what out Galaxy would look like from far away.

Camera: SBIG ST-10 CCD.

Exposures: Red, green, blue and H-alpha filters; a total of 6 hours exposure.
