APS Minority Bridge Program visit

Peter Muhoro visited the department to speak about helping students from underrepresented groups prepare for graduate study in physics.

Peter Muhoro, then project manager for the American Physical Society’s Minority Bridge Program, visited the department in November 2011. His colloquium discussed the barriers that keep students from underrepresented groups from pursuing advanced physics degrees and the institutional support that can help them move successfully into doctoral study.

The talk took place on November 15, 2011, in Lewis Hall Auditorium.
