StronG BaD workshop (2/27/17-3/2/17)

In the Spring of 2017 we will host an informal workshop on Strong Gravity and Binary Dynamics with Gravitational Wave Observations. The workshop is partially supported by Emanuele’s NSF grants and by the Strong Gravity and High Energy Physics Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) Action, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 program.

It will last four days and it will revolve around the following topics:

Day 1: Astrophysics of compact binary populations
Day 2: Spin measurements in compact binaries
Day 3: Strong-field tests of general relativity
Day 4: Signatures of modified gravity and exotic compact objects

More details (including a preliminary list of participants, travel and lodging information) are available on this website.
